Spring Cleaning

Well it's that time of year again and if you're like many of us you simply put your gear away at the end of the season after your last outing. If you're were ambitious you might have made it out to some of the Winter Casting sessions. In either case, your fly line is probably in need of a good cleaning before you put it to use this season. For those of you that are new to fly fishing, Rio provides a couple of instructional videos on how to properly clean your line.

In addition, if you did not remove your line from your reel, it's always a good idea to stretch out your line. Doing so will help to minimize the "coiling" memory in the line. Also as the days get warmer remember that a hot car/trunk is the worst thing for your fly line.
